The Found Sound Nation Fellowship Program is a new initiative beginning in 2017 available to young men and women based in the Bronx, NY.  The program will be a hands-on skills development program including training and mentorship in music and sound production, videography, graphic design, web design, social media marketing and media literacy.

Opportunities

 

- Collaborate & network with top musicians, filmmakers, and artists from around the city

- Collaborate with internationally acclaimed OneBeat musicians from around the world

- Experience working with a music-based arts organization and non-profit

- Develop creative media, videos and social media campaigns 

- Participate in Found Sound Nation programming, studios and workshops

- Run collaborative music creation workshops with New York city youth

Roles/Skills: 

 

We are looking for people with skills or interests in the following: 

Social Media Producer: develop interesting campaigns for social media platforms

Blog Curator: write, source and develop interesting articles for site, and platforms

Film Editor: edit together existing media, footage into cool profiles, memes, media for social

Graphic Designer: create graphics for OneBeat and FSN, promos, concert flyers, apps, etc

Web Developer/Coder: build new sites, develop existing wordpress and SP sites

Audio Engineer/Producer: mix, master and remix projects and manage gear

Live Sound Engineer: run sound for live events and concerts

Details | 

- 3-6 month fellowship program

- a nominal paid stipend
- 4 fellows (2 men, 2 women)
- Aged 18-25 
- Must be based in the Bronx
- Available to meet in person at least 1x / week
