Ami Kim (born Jocelyn Ellis) is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, producer, beat-maker and vocalist who has shown a deep commitment to using music to promote positive social change. Working in various genres including hip-hop, electro, soul, and folk, she has gained much experience as an effective teacher and musical partner. Last year, she participated in the Next Level program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, and traveled to Dhaka Bangladesh to facilitate workshops, demos and cross-cultural beat-making collaborations via the hip-hop genre.
