Street artist Arjun Mehta, aka MC Parshuraavan, is a rapper, video creator, storyteller, and music producer from Rajkot, Gujarat who raps in his mother-tongue Gujarati. His lyrics address social issues in India, including untouchability, casteism, islamophobia, and the relationship between media and citizens in a democratic process. His single ‘Antarmann’ in collaboration with producer Dreamhour created a noticeable buzz online and offline, and was featured in Rolling Stone India. Parshuraavan’s wide-ranging intelligence, imagination, and playful creativity come out in his songs and poems, which often reference historical events from recent years and the ancient history of the subcontinent.
