Ronald Balanta Dorado (aka Chambimbe) is a Colombian music producer, composer and arranger. Born in Santander de Quilichao, Cauca, to a musical family, Ronald grew up in a melting pot of Afro-Caribbean, indigenous and mestizo cultures. As a result, Chambimbe incorporates a wide range of styles and instrumentation to his music, from experimental synthesis and sound design, to traditional marimba, flute and violin, as well as traditional shamanic influences. Ronald’s debut album, Respirar , was released in 2018.
