Dani Shokri is an accomplished Beirut-based drummer, best known as the drummer of the band Tanjaret Daghet. After studying classical percussion at Syria’s Higher Institute for Music, Dani toured Europe and the Middle East extensively, performing in large format jazz bands as well as traditional orchestras and indie groups. Dani’s collaborations include releases and shows with Amr Hammour Band, Fattet Laabet, Bassel Rajoub, Lena Chamamian, The Syrian National Orchestra and as a solo artist. A sensitive player with a wealth of performing and composing experience, Dani is a prolific member of Lebanon’s music scene.
