Dylan McKinstry is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, improvisor and recording engineer currently residing in Brooklyn, New York. He has been described by the Boston Globe as "...effecting a sublime transformation", and by the Winnipeg Free Press as "...a remarkable, unclassifiable talent." An entirely self-taught musician until the age of 25, Dylan's style is a reflection of his eclectic musical upbringing and perpetual curiosity. He has been featured as a soloist with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and Sonoma County Philharmonic, Meredith Monk, John Zorn, and New York-based Italian pop group Tredici Bacci. Dylan also hosts regular laboratory-style gathering’s for the New York music community, providing a forum for concerts, emerging ideas, new experimental works, and social justice work, while nurturing an inclusive and diverse environment for performance.
