Hind Meriem Boukella is an accomplished Algerian jazz singer and guitarist. She has performed with Sid Ali Bahri, the Gnawa group Grooz (at the Youth Center Staoueli) and Mehdi Djama. Singing on stages across Algeria and Morocco, her style is influenced by everything from Latin jazz to traditional Algerian music, soul to Brazilian influences of Bossa Nova and Samba music. She is also a member of Zephir, the Algeria-based jazz big band. Outside of her performing work, Hind is a music teacher who gives singing lessons to children at various schools.
