Januar Arley Palacios is a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and educator from Quibdó, Colombia. He is the five-time winner of theh Festival Petronio Álvarez, has also received numerous awards as a clarinetist. A member of well-known groups Rancho Aparte Folk Band, Zaperco, and Sonba Joson, over the past 12 years Januar has dedicated himself to transforming the lives of young people in Quibdó, through his teaching of traditional chirimia music.
