John Owen is a Filipino flutist and singer-songwriter. Classically trained since his childhood, he now ventures into genres from classical contemporary to jazz, and indie-folk. He is part of the classical contemporary group Ripieno Ensemble, who are committed to promoting new music written by both early-career and established composers from Southeast Asia. He is also the flutist, vocalist, and one of the songwriters of Munimuni, an independent folk-pop band in the Philippines.
