Parami Shyon is a classically trained pianist based in Myanmar. Beginning his studies at age 10, Parami refined his playing at Myanmar’s Mendalay University and Mahidol University in Thailand. He has performed at international jazz festivals and has served as the musical director for numerous theatrical works, including musicals, plays and a puppet show involving artists from Myanmar, Germany, Thailand, and the United States. As an educator, Parami has led numerous workshops and performances with the Gitameit Music Center, a non-profit arts and social outreach organization, and has participated in cultural exchange events sponsored by the Asian Arts council.
