Quentin Baxter is a percussionist, composer, educator, and prominent figure in the jazz community of his native Charleston. He is the Co-Principal of Charleston Jazz Initiative, a founding board member of Jazz artists of Charleston, and an Adjunct Professor of Jazz Studies at the College of Charleston. An accomplished and versatile drummer, Quentin has toured Europe, Japan, Korea, Guam, St. Crois, Hawaii, and Jamaica. While at home, he records live with his own group, Emanon, and performs locally with the Gradual Lean, Brazilia, Q. Baxter Ensemble with Poetic Jazz Society of Charleston, and the Charleston Jazz Alliance. Quentin Baxter joined OneBeat 2012 in Charleston, SC.
