Raja Kateb is a singer-songwriter, composer and guitarist hailing from Oran. A passionate collaborator, she has performed with musicians across Algeria, including Democratorz’s, a roots-reggae band that infuses elements of jazz, funk, Gnawa and dub into their music. Raja grapples with the subject of immigration in her work, and was a part of an album and concert project that raised awareness for sick and underprivileged children.
