Takahara Suiko is a singer-songwriter from Malaysia, based in Sengalor. A self-taught musician with uncontainable curiosity, their musical ingeniousness and poignant humor led them to becoming a Red Bull Music Academy 2016 alumna. Whether as the one-person-band The Venopian Solitude or as VIONA, Taka displays deft accuracy weaving their politically-charged lyrics, vivacious creativity into their intricate and playful arrangements, and a memorable personality as an interpreter of refreshing works. In addition to their experience as facilitator in songwriting workshops, they have recently collaborated with Vans Malaysia in a campaign raising mental health awareness, and with Women's Aid Organization Malaysia (WAO), writing songs about the Sustainable Development Goals.
