Each year, AMMP convenes a cohort of mid-career music industry professionals — managers, promoters, producers, executives, and entertainment lawyers — nominated by U.S. Embassies around the world. Fellows travel to the United States for a two-week intensive residency of mentorship sessions, site visits, and networking across the full breadth of the American music ecosystem, then continue working with their Recording Academy mentors through months of structured virtual mentorship.

In October 2025, AMMP brought 20 Fellows from Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and the United States to Los Angeles; the 2026 cycle brings a new cohort to New York City. Across its first cycle, 95% of Fellows reported expanding their networks of American industry contacts, and 100% reported growth in technical and professional skills — building durable professional relationships between U.S. music leaders and their international counterparts, and expanding global pathways for American music.
