Culture Summit is organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with global partners, including UNESCO, The Economist Impact, the Design Museum, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, Google, Recording Academy, and other art, technology, and media organizations from around the world.

Culture Summit bills itself as the world’s first high-level summit that convenes leaders from the worlds of the arts, media, public policy, and technology to identify ways that culture can raise awareness, build bridges and promote positive change. Its inaugural event in Abu Dhabi was attended by 450 delegates from 80 countries, including internationally acclaimed visual artist Idris Khan, Academy Award-winning composer and conductor Tan Dun, former United States Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, MacArthur Fellow and award-winning choreographer Liz Lerman and others. Found Sound Nation was brought to Culture Summit to engage attendees and activate the space, through a series of interactive Street Studios.

In 2017, Culture Summit invited Found Sound Nation to attend its inaugural program and host a street studio with the event's participants.
