In July of 2015, our first institute was held in Hudson, NY, in partnership with Kite's Nest Social Justice Leadership Academy. Our 2016 Institute was at hosted at Carnegie Hall, where FSN worked with instructors from Building Beats, DreamYard, and Carnegie Hall (part of the HIVE youth music production consortium), as well as producers from our Street Studio World project, sponsored by HARMAN. The FSN Institute brought together artists and educators in our extended network for reflections, shared exercises and collaborative writing based around using music education as a tool for creative expression and community engagement.
