FSN spent two days traveling around NYC documenting people and performers within 10 different communities in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens in collaboration with Street Pianos. Equipped with a portable recording studio (a few mics, stands, laptop), we documented the improvisatory playing of passersby, recorded the sounds of the streets and environment and gave short prompts to those drawn to the pianos. FSN then remixed these sounds into short audio collages which we released via our Soundcloud page.
Play Me, I’m Yours, a public art project by Luke Jerram and presented by Sing For Hope, brought 60 pianos to the streets of New York City.
