Street Studio India brings together socially-engaged music producers based in India and the U.S. for a collaborative exchange program centered around the “street studio” -- a methodology developed by Found Sound Nation that takes the basic elements of the music studio to a public place, making the process accessible to anyone in the surrounding community.

In its first iteration in April 2022, Street Studio India producers spent 5 weeks virtually sharing production skills, innovating on the street studio methodology, and leading independent projects in their respective regions to create original collaborative tracks. The program culminated with a virtual presentation of the work created, followed by participant-organized in-person events in India and the U.S. 

Street Studios India is a project of the NYC-based arts organization Found Sound Nation in collaboration with producers Sandunes and Half Waif, who led the exchange, with support from the American Embassy New Delhi.
