When TED2017 approached Found Sound Nation about creating a musical installation for their conference, we started thinking about how to foster interconnectivity through music. The Ouroborium's structure was inspired by the forms of Buckminster Fuller and developed by Refunc, a forward-looking architecture and design company. FSN wanted to create a tactile space, where anyone could create or manipulate, without the obvious presence of computers. The Ouroborium was installed as part of the 2017 TED Conference in Toronto and Toronto FSN worked with filmmakers Souki Mansoor and Ora Dekornfeld to create a short film about the process.

For the TED conference, FSN designed the Ouroborium — a multi-person instrument inside a sonic, geodesic dome where strangers can come together to communicate, create and converse through music.
