Since its establishment in 2010, FSN has built an extensive global network of sonic changemakers through our cross-cultural collaborative music creation projects.  

 

Under our newly-formed label, Found Sound Records, we are dedicated to the production, curation and distribution of high quality, collaborative music, and to redefining the possibilities of what global music can look like, sound like, and represent.

Travelers: Dosti Music Project

In the spring of 2015 and 2016, twenty leading Pakistani, Indian, and American musicians spent a month in an intense collaborative residency, curated by Found Sound Nation. This motley crew of adventurous musicians immersed themselves in each other’s musical worlds -- Appalachian fiddle tunes to Karachi minimalist electronica to classical Hindustani song -- creating original music, reinventing traditional tunes, and forming a community that transcended the boundaries of genre and nation.

The result of these unique collaborations is captured in Travelers, the first release from Found Sound Nation’s newly formed record label. Set for release on May 26th, 2017.
